I have a miss at 5000 to10000. Did compression check and found 1 and 2 have 175 psi 3 and 4 300 psi because of water. Spun motor over many times and water kept comming in. Where can water come from when out of water? Boat is on trailer in garage. I read a thread about exhaust manifolds rotting. I pulled off manifolds and they look like new. No pitting or corrosion. Any help is much appreciated.

No water. Only what is left over after loading. The airbox has to be remove to remove plugs for compression check .

How long have you cranked it with the spark plugs out?

Not clear, Did you run the hose without the engines running? Not sure what head gaskets are rated for but 300psi can't be good.

Cranked motor over 20 seconds at a time. So in all about 2 minutes to clear out water out. But when # 3 was checked I got 185 Psi comp. Then #4 had water comming out again. So I cranked engine a few more times to clear. Checked # 3 at 180psi and water comes out 4. I am going to pull the head off tonight to check it out. It has to be easy to find if it leaks with no pressure.

So your boat is out of the water and no hose is hooked up but you continually get water from the spark plug holes??? This is very interesting. ?

It has to be leftover water from running. I was thinking it would have to be all from the exhaust. Evidently not
