It just worked for me. I got an alert that said I had been tagged by Bruce in this thread. Then I got the email too. Now I need to set a filter from my hotmail account to send this email as a vtext to my phone. I'll add that I don't get emails for other alerts accept for conversations/pms.

tagged. Tagged, but it's not super obvious because I get a bunch of notifications - would be nice if this tag generated an email as well. (unless the email is in transit)
Edit: I think the reason why I didn't get an email is because I was actively logged in when the event was triggered. Will wait until the next tag if I'm offline to see if it comes through.

@mattschepker, you have not joined the - On the water Help User Group - Join to Help or post @HELP when you are in urgent need
@JC6275, @txav8r and @farrelltravis you did not receive the tag alert since you had previously posted in this thread. You should have received an alert that I replied instead.
Looking at the database all 34 members that have joined the Help group received the alert except for the three that received an "insert".
@Scottintexas, I made changes to the alert system between #1 and #8.

I got an alert and an email. Earlier today I saw the post that Julian made about changing your email settings to be notified by email if someone tags you in a post.
