Shelbyville Illinois, July 29th to July 31st 2016

Midwest Boaters and All forum members, please join us at Lake Shelbyville, IL (www.lakeshelbyville.com) for the 9th Annual Friends and Family Boaters Gathering! The official dates are Friday, July 29th to Sunday July 31st, 2015. However, most people choose to come early and some even leave late. Last year, @Sheboat was our earliest arrival, getting there on the preceding Sunday....Well, I guess @MutherTucker was truly the first to arrive, but of course, she just happens to live there. And what a host she was. She hosted our Saturday night Family Dinner at her reception hall and it was truly over the top!

2015 was 35 boats with over 150 people! Over 100 items given away from out sponsors! Let's make 2016 event bigger and better!!!!

In the past, most of the participants have stayed at Lithia Resort ( http://www.lithiaresort.com/ ) which is 1/4 mile from a public launch and the Lithia Springs Marina (http://www.lithiamarina.com/ ), where you can rent a slip for the weekend. Below are the participants that have already commited to the trip and the ones that are tentative. Let us know by responding to this post, if you are planning on attending. We will keep this first post updated with each persons details:

We have to wait until we find out what school Caitlin gets into before we can plan our summer out....which totally sucks because IF we decide we want to go to Shelbville, all the cabins will be booked by the time we find out (march/april!)

We are going to rent a Houseboat for the weekend.
We're in.

I had better double check availability at the marina. We inquired around thanksgiving and they had availability. Anyway, that's the current plan.

Sorry guys I was away Thursday-Sunday for military training...I'm definitely in on this one! I have 4 coming...possibly 10 altogether camping out!

Just confirmed our flights a couple of days ago....can almost taste pappy's bbq in St. Louis. Morgan and I will make that place part of the tradition!

Kim and I will be there, planning for Thursday to Sunday. We'll be in the campground. I CAN'T WAIT!

I believe there is another family that is renting a houseboat, so we will definetely have an anchor/homebase on the water.

I am in Thursday to Sunday not sure where I am staying this year.

Still inquiring about the Houseboat availability. Likely will be for Friday thru Sunday, we're going to see if we can extend it for one more day to head out Thursday.

We are both in the off site cabins. Friday to Sunday. We may add Thursday to our cabin depending on what we find for rates in Cumberland.
