I have had this fire extinguisher for a month ( existing extinguisher expires next month) so no problems/issues to report. After reading your post, I searched Amazon for "FE5R-pwcna". Selecting this model in the search result included fire extinguishers for 'boat, car & boat, car and RV in addition to the personal watercraft model. The 1 star reviews identify models/styles other than the 'pwcna' model. There may be negative comments posted somewhere regarding the FE5R-pwcna model but it fits my SX 230 fire extinguisher container and as long as the fire extinguisher 'pressure test plunger' indicates a good charge, I have to believe it will work. Hope this helps.
