Finally made the leap into the Jet boat world and took delivery of my first AR240.
Coming from an 18 foot Glastron GT185 this new yammie is HUGE, but so needed now our family has expanded since the first boat.
Back in 2008 or 2009 I first started getting interested in these jet boats, just 2 years into owning my Glastron, but I knew the wife wouldn't go for it until we actually needed something bigger.
A lot of credit goes to the amazing boat forums, both over the course of time since I first started following, and I've been following for quite some time now. Thanks to all who have contributed to these forums over time as the wealth of knowledge and experience available online has made my choice easy. Funny part is during my delivery today there wasn't one thing the test driver told me that I didn't already know about the boat that I hadn't learned from these forums.
I expect to be overwhelmed a few times as I settle into a new routine with a bigger and better boat, but oh man let me tell you I'm going to enjoy every last second. The smiles on my kids faces when they saw me pull up......priceless.
We think we already have a name for our new boat...."The Family Jet".
See ya on the water!!!
