Hello. I have a 1995 Sierra Viper with a Mercury 120 sport jet. I just ran new fuel lines, filter, rebuilt fuel pump, new ride plate gasket, resurfaced wear ring, cleaned and rebuilt carbs, and installed a new rpm limiter. Before I did all this the boat would bog down after a few seconds. It also wouldn't shut off because rpm limiter was unplugged. Now that I have done all the additions, everytime I turn the key on I get a continuous beep. It did not do this prior to installing the new rev limiter. I'm not exactly sure what to do. I know it's the low oil or I reheat alarm but the beep starts without the engine running and won't quit when the engine is running. I tried jumping the oil sensor but the beep didn't stop. I unplugged the oil and heat sensors and the beeping doesn't stop. Someone suggested I disconnect the tan/blue trigger wire from the actual alarm and that if it kept going the alarm itself was bad. Well, I did that and the alarm stopped. Any suggestions on how I should proceed?
