I just did a search for random but commonly used words on here and the search results hardly turn back anything. I am not using any specifics such a thread title only or any specific sub forums either. I just did a search for "fish" and only got one result back.

Ok something strange is going on. I just checked my profile for all content I've posted or threads I've created and it's only showing today's posts. Wtf ?!

Anyone else seeing this [USERGROUP=3]@Administrative[/USERGROUP] ??

I noticed that earlier today as well. Someone posted that they were taking on water and I tried to search scupper valve to point them in the right direction and it didn't come up with any results.

I did a search for NMEA earlier and got nothing, which I thought was odd since I know it's been discussed.

Searched "rope" and hardly any hits too. It appears the threads are there it's just you can't search for it. Also the user related content doesn't show everything if you go to someone's profile.

Definitely seems search related, like an index needs to be rebuilt or something like that. All the threads still seem to be here. General discussion has 286 pages of threads going back to 2014. I'm sure it will be fixed.

Lol @bronze_10 profile posts only show a handful of stuff and when I clicked in any threads created by him there's nothing. Notice his posts only show up Today and nothing from yesterday or before....

Looks like it is broken. I will rebuild the database.

@haknslash, thanks for catching this.

I added 40GB of additional storage yesterday. It is likely that the search index was damaged in that process.

It seems to be working correctly after rebuilding the search database.

Bruce aka Shark bite......

I assumed it was just a drill.

Figured @Bruce is preparing us for the end of net neutrality.

@Bruce is just giving us a taste of how important this forum is to us - a little taste of "don't know what you got til its gone" ;)

I became a castaway a few days ago. Some might suggest that I am AWOL. Surprisingly the shark bite has not harmed typing ability as much as I expected.

You guys use the forum search for keywords?

If looking for something specific I use Google..... Search term + site:jetboaters.net <--That has always given me way better results than the site search.

I do use the forum indexes for finding my content, and todays new posts.

That works. Until you want to narrow it down to a particular user and only know the first couple of letters of the screen name, lol.

Agreed. Google usually gets me close, then I have to refine from there.

Still may be something wrong. .

I just searched, @Betik is the baddest bad ass around.... And got nothing! Hummmm

@Bruce has infused AI into the search algorithm. It knows that “ bad ass” is not the same of “bad” & “ass”

For faster results in the future ....
Try using words with Greek origins such as “idiot” and “moron”.

If you prefer to stick with pure English you can try “scambag”
