I think we are locked into the trip. My brother just picked up his 2022 AR190, so we need to get that broke in before TurkeyDay.

We have a place booked right in town, Pirates Cove seems to be completely full.

It would be nice to say hi to anyone on the river that week.

We may be down there for baseball tourney and the parade of lights beginning of December.

Day1 on the water. Got the slip and trailer parked.
10 mph winds were not great today. 1’ chop with 1 sec interval sucks. It was a little better at 40 mph.
Weather looks good for Tuesday
Wednesday has 25+ mph winds, I think we will skip the boat that day.
If anyone is around send me a message and we might say hi.

Day 2
Cruising up north on Lake Havasu
‘Those are some big birds’
‘Wait a minute, they aren’t swimming, they are standing’
I turn hard over to the left
‘Damn, that water is really shallow’
Now I’m rubbing on the sand. Cut the motors.

We were stuck for about half an hour.
We rocked the boat left and right and pushed it forward about 1 foot at a time.
Afterwords we cruised up to Topock and had some lunch.

We've been boating on Havasu with Yamaha's for nearly 20 years. Definitely make sure you have a hand held radio onboard just in case you get stuck on a sand bar with no one around. Channel 16 will definitely prevent you from spending the night on the boat until the water levels creep back up.

I’ve got my Standard Horizon VHF. In case we are out of cell range.
We could have called Sea Tow, but seemed like we had it figured out. And pontoon could have pulled us off in less than 5 min.
Heading back up past Pirates Cove today. I’ll be hugging the grass when we exit the lake this time.
I stopped by Slide Anchor to say hi and thanks to Ryan. He told me that the channel they dredged on the left side a while back isn’t very good and more.

Yeah, we only got out on the lake on Friday for a few hours. Sorry you got stuck, going north gets a little tricky. I have done it before too. Hope the boat did good for you.
