2015 242 limited S ... port side engine stopped working. It was working fine.. we stopped for fuel... ran for an hour.. stopped for lunch and afterwards the engine stopped working. Ran with the one engine and 10 min later was able to get port side running again for an hour and then when stopped again it wouldn't start and and hasn't started since.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Does the starter motor work?
Have you checked the clean out tray safety switches for tightness?
Have you tried pulling the safety lanyard and re installing it?

If the cranking is consistent, that rules out the cleanout tray switches. If those are at fault, then it won't crank.

The lanyard kills the spark. So if you have been able to verify that there is spark, that is not at fault (btw, how did you test that? pull the packs?).

For completeness: make sure your throttles are in neutral. If they are not, engine won't crank (but it is cranking, so very unlikely the issue).

Check the air intake for the engine. I had an oddness like this once and it was some soundproofing I put in the engine compartment come loose and sucked against the air intake. The air filter box has an opening on it--make sure nothing is blocking it.

Then we are down to fuel. Usually if the fuel is to blame but it has been running (like if you got bad gas on that fillup), I would expect it to run rough, seem to catch when trying to start and then not start, etc. Getting any of that? Have you checked the oil? Any anomalies there?

If you run on one engine, be sure you keep it below no wake speed (unless you have valves on the cooling line). Otherwise the pressure in the jet of the down engine will force water up into the dead engine and make more issues for you.
