Anybody going this year. I have seen posts in the past about people going but I didn't see anyone signed up this year yet.

It will be one of the first times out in the new boat for me!

Hi @Nickp98 and Welcome Aboard! I know last year @OperationROL tried to set up a time in June for us to have our own loop cruise, because the weather would be more favorable. I don't know if there are any thoughts of doing it again this year or not. As for the April 29th cruise. I wouldn't be surprised if you found a few members attending.

I doubt I will be going this year seeing as I have the main deck hatch I am still repairing and my second job is starting to get into full swing here. Lots to do too little time!

I may go, but don't know for sure. However, I do want to do a separate one like we did last year in June when the weather is a little bit more predictable and nice. I will look for dates soon. Last year we ended up scheduling it while the America's cup was happening. That limited us once we got to Lake Michigan.

We haven't been able to do this one yet, but if the weather is good we will tray to be there.

What are the details?

Eric

(edit: mentioned to my wife and she reminded me that I'll be at work.... crap!)

Well we wimped out since it was so cold but went down to the launch to see them all off! It was nice to meet @Nickp98 and see his beautiful new AR240, hope you have a great time today and stay warm!

No photos???

There were only about 6 boats at the launch, sorry I didn't think to take a picture of them. I was probably shivering too much to take one anyway, lol.

Cold, windy and rainy today in Chicago. Can't imagine being out there.

Oh my god, no. Just driving to the grocery store today and it was 37 degrees, windy and rainy (northern burbs). Of course I just put my boat in the water last Sunday, so I am pouting today.

If I was healthy enough to boat I would be on my local lake, NOT downtown chicago!

Started out just being cold... then got wet... we had a great time and it was worth it.IMG_1280.JPGIMG_1323.JPG IMG_1289.JPG IMG_1300.JPG

Did you guys do the half cruise or did you go all the way to the lake?

We just did the half cruise. Small craft advisory and 8+ footers on the lake....

Didn't you get pummeled with rain the whole time? Did you take your family?

We made it all the way to navy pier dry and then it was a wet ride back... we had rain gear so it wasn't too bad. It was just me and two buddies that went no family. Even with the rain and cold we plan to do it again next year.
