Hey y’all,

2016 Yamaha 190 FSH owner here and I’ve got this black stuff all over some of my seats. Mildew remover does not do the trick, Im not sure what to do but it really brings down the looks of the boat and I was wondering if there’s any fix?

thankyou

Get some Star Brite Vinyl polish….or try some soft scrub with bleach and a small round brush and work it in circles with light pressure, wipe off and repeat as necessary.

I had good luck with Star Brite Mildew Stain Remover. Follow the directions on the bottle and be patient. Will probably take more than one try, and some elbow grease.

You try a UV light.

We use Starbrite to clean vinyl upholstry, we do use another product on Clear vinyl windows if you ever have an enclosure.
Try this review. Starbrite will be your huckleberry.

Cut a lemon in half and start rubbing in a circular motions. The acid in the fruit will eat that black fungus for lunch. Wipe down when finished.

The mold should come out with some work and proper chemical, but the discoloring/red-ish area is burned from the heat/cover and will not come out.
