Just saw this announced today.

2019 Chicago Loop Cruise will be June 1, 2019

I’m hoping to come up this year, if I can get the wife to reschedule our current plans this weekend. Should be doable, but dang June is full already. Lol

If I remember right, these folks went last year??

@ar240owner
@jcyamaharider
@Nickp98

Were there others, too?

Details from last year’s event. http://www.chicagoloopcruise.com/pages/details.html

It was just the 3 of us last year... I will be there again this year. It is such an amazing way to see the city.

I would do this in a heartbeat, but the dates just don;t work...

I really plan on doing it this year, but I have to admit that I would be way more interested in trying to do this with a smaller group of Jetboaters members. I have never done this cruise with this group but I have done part of the loop by myself. The biggest problem that I see is dealing with the amount of boats that would be going upriver. The rivers are not extremely wide and pretty much have walls on both sides, nowhere for the wake to dissipate to. I have seen pictures on the Crownline forum that show the river being extremely rough if you're not one of the first boats. I'm definitely not saying that it's not doable. I just think it would be more fun (less stressful) with a smaller group. I will defer to those that have gone with this group before, to PLEASE correct me if I'm being paranoid.

I’d be up for that, as long as there’s someone familiar with the route to follow. :)

Makes no difference to me, but smoother water always sounds nice.

You are pretty much spot on. Very rough and you will be driving your boat the entire time you are with the crownline group. I still had a blast when I went with the group though. We will have to see what this year brings for us before I commit to it this year.

I plane on going this year again , awesome way to see the city !!

I will say there are a couple of narrow areas that it’s gets questionable.... with that said, as long as you are not trying to go flat out I feel it is manageable with the right Speed. There are a couple go fast boats in that group but everyone, for the most part keeps it to a slow cruise through the narrow spots.

I'm interest - but as a new boater with a few trips under my belt, I may need more experience before jumping in.

Y’all will have to keep me posted on when you’ll be coming through! Taking my girlfriend there for a Indians baseball game that day, she’s never been. Would love to see all the jet boats passing through.

I would like to do it. Is this an adults only type of run?

It isn’t specified that way but some of the Crownline guys act like it is! I might be going with a few buddies this year because my wife and kids are going to be busy...

Ok... I'll talk to the Wife and see how she wants to attack it. Picking up the boat from winter storage on Wednesday! :winkingthumbsup"

This could be do-able for the wife and I. Will keep watching!
