Window strap pulled out?

The strap that buttons on to the center window to keep it pulled back came out of the fiberglass. You can see the hole in the fiberglass.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Bigger screw sounds like a good idea.

Is there supposed to be a backing behind the hole or just straight into the fiberglass? As thin as the fiberglass is there, I'm surprised it lasted 9 years.
 
If you have access from the inside, use a bolt and locknut.
 
I would try to back it up & use 5200. If you go up a screw size you want to flare the hole to prevent cracking.
