My wife and I made sure to not let our daughter see that story. She’d never go back in the lake if she knew there were monsters like that out there. Ha!

Very cool!

I took a jet boat cruise at Hell’s Canyon once and along the way there was a wide calm spot in the river where people were hanging out. The boat operator Drew everybody’s attention to one boat with a girl in a bikini standing on the deck reeling in what was obviously a very large fish. He stopped the boat so we could all watch, and when the fish finally did come to the surface it took three men to hold it and lift it out of the water. I don’t know how it compared with the one in the article you posted, but this thing was massive! My guess at the time was that it was probably 12 feet long. A few pictures were taken before they removed the hook and let the fish go.
