New interior.

Upholsterer is starting out on his own after working for others.

Took a chance in exchange for A very good deal (I thought)

Came out pretty good. A couple of wrinkles, if they don't come out in the next few days we will worry about them.

He handled all R/R

He's based on conroe area but came down to clear lake 2 (hour drive) for the job.

Very cool. I wished my interior had some color to it. That's one thing I really like about the Chaparral's and Scarab's.

Thanks I've enjoyed a colorful interior on my old Seadoo boat, and the interior needed redoing big time.I can only guess the boat lived in the sun for some time.

It made sense to add a bit of color.

Looks great, quite an improvement!

Thanks. He charged me $1,550. I looked around quite a bit, and received two other much higher quotes. Being handy myself I considered trying on my own to do it, but after seeing this guy remove and replace, and how intricate each piece is, there is no way I could have come anywhere close to doing it myself. His name is Luciano Garza and he can be reached at 832-859-3352 in the Houston area. He was motivated and did a good job.

It was an interesting sight to see just legs coming out of the rear storage as he slid in to reach the very back of the boat. Hopefully first and last time this is ever needed :)

Very nice.... It looks like a new boat...

looks good, mine are quickly getting to that stage, it's a common problem on this generation of boat,

how long did it take?

Did he remove the cushions and take them back to his shop?

It took him 2 weeks.
He took it all with him and came back.

If you have the boat in your place in sure he could do like in by Monday out by Friday the following week. It did take him over 7 days so you will lose one weekend. If it holds until winter that may be a good time for it too. Mine were in such poor condition, and weather has been just ok in Houston, so my timing worked out.

@Beachbummer, About to do this to mine. The lowest quote i got was $3200 by Can Do in League City. Another guy at "5 Star Upholstery" wanted $5500 or $5200 Cash deal:nailbiting: here is a link to one he had just done. Looks awesome, but damn.

Off these pics i was thinking of the same thing except orange piping use a color close to "Carolina Tar Heel Blue". basically baby blue but loose that argument with the wife...

Did your guy use stainless staples? Who was the manufacture of the vinyl? Kinda thinking i want sail rite brand material. Check out this stuff that stays cool in direct sunlight.....

It states it the Brisa material in the paragraph.

Criticism wanted, suggestions needed.

The guy i worked with had a marine vinyl sample board and he included the cost of materials on the quote he gave me

He seems very flexible on sure he could use your material if you wanted.

Those quotes are insane.

And he did use stainless staples.

this is quickly moving to the top of my to do list as a winter project,

@dirksgoat did you ever get yours done? if so, who did you use ?

.

Mine is holding up pretty well.

He used stainless Staples (not sure exactly which kind, there is monel also and other material choice)

He purchased the vinyl from some local commercial supplier. He had a sample board, but I admit I don't recall their name.

Sorry, not great help.

Found more info. The one I got is made by Futura Vinyls Windstar.

That looks great, and that price is awesome ???

I have not. We decided to wait and glad I did. We really only have one bad spot. We decided to make a camper van out of a sprinter and that project has been eating my wallet. Hope to have it done in a few months though. Hell of a tow rig to take boat to lake!

Please keep this updated who you choose though. Several shops moved/ closed down on 146 do to eminent domain.

Would love to know the quotes, locations, etc you find.

Yes, nothing noticeable remained after a few times out with the sun hitting on it.

@Beachbummer - Do you speak Spanish ?

I called Luciano yesterday, I got about 3 awkward sentences in (telling him I need boat cushions done, I heard he did good work) with him barely responding and then the phone went dead,
