Come on down to Great Gun Beach, Moriches Bay on Sunday 9-21-14

So far we have (3) Sx 190's and maybe (1) LS 2000.
We will be beached on the East side of the Boat slips

Bring food, drink and whatever you want as we say goodbye to the Summer of 2014 in style

I actually live in Nassau and grew up in Suffolk. I am a Great South Bay guy since the age of 3. . . . . Mostly Democratic Point and Sore Thumb at the Fire Island Inlet. The boat is generally in Monticello up on the Lake. But with enough notice I would bring her down. Would give me an excuse to meet up with my Hampton/Shelter Island Friends.

Yes, it was like a lake on the bay. Going back to port was hairy as visibility was about 150 yards. Good thing for the Navionics app...and flying in formation with two other Yamaha's! Wish I had taken pics of the ride coming in but I was on high alert for other boaters...
 
Whoa! 150yds on a bay? Glad you guys made it back in safely...I haven't had to face conditions like that on my lake. I figure I have a few more weekends before I call the season a wrap...maybe you have the elusive day left somewhere!
 
hey great idea! just may make it if i can get the kinks out of my old ls2000, located in mastic beach and i use the ramp at shirley marina, have some issues with the motors but am working on it. I am still able to use the boat locally. sat for 10 yrs and was beat on alot but all in all a nice boat when its done. Sounds like you and the group have a great time. hope to make it there thanks, john

Been seeing a lot of new yamahas in the bay lately.. I'll try to dread the word about this site.. we can get a pretty good group this year

You can find me anchored across from the inlet at the sandbar with a cold beverage in hand
