Is it possible to receive an email notification is someone "tags" you?

I have noticed that if someone "tags" you in a post, it appears to only show the notification for the "tag" under the "alerts" section. I am sure most people have a lot of alerts, and so do i. So, the notification kinda gets buried in there.

Is there a way, or setting maybe that I can change on my side, to receive email notifications if someone "tags" me?

Just wanted to say this also - this forum has been awesome! I love it! Everyone's hard work and dedication to this site doesn't go unnoticed by me. Thank you to everyone involved!

I see where you are talking about I think, but I am not seeing where I can get an email alert.....just an alert. What am I missing?

@farrelltravis , I was just looking at this, and I don't see a way to accomplish what you seek. @Bruce do you see a way to do this?

I'm going to go and research this a little on the Xenforo forum and see what I come up with....

@Bruce The one above looks like the best one out there. It also provides the ability to tag usergroups. The later could be quite an interesting tool. For example, Have a usergroup for people who like fishing, post a fishing shot and tag the fishing usergroup etc

The flip side is....could people start tagging too much? (but you can turn off tagging alerts....wonder if it allows one to turn off usergroup tagging alerts by person--I've asked...we'll see what they say)

I am wanting this too, however it is an all or nothing change for email alerts. Basically if you change to email alerts you get emails for everything, so I switched back to just alerts. To keep the alerts to a minimum I only set it for when I get tagged or someone attaches a file to threads I'm watching.

[USERGROUP=4]@Moderating[/USERGROUP] [USERGROUP=3]@Administrative[/USERGROUP] just testing the usergroup tagging option....(those are the only groups turned on for tagging at this point).

We need to do a check to ensure that if we turn on bigger groups it doesn't have a performance impact.

This would be great for Gatherings and other specialty groups we could set up. One idea was to allow tagging of a group titled something like "Emergency Help"....anyone who joined that group would get an alert.

Ok, I thought this was working. But, I have been tagged a few times since then. I clicked on the box to receive email notifications for tagging, but I don't seem to be receiving them. Am I doing something wrong?

Here is what I have. I just noticed the password deal. I don't think I put in my password before. But, it is checked. Maybe type the password and recheck the box?
