My 2014 Scarab 215HO is finally at the hrs where I need to rebuild or replace the superchargers. Found out that the superchargers have been superseded a number of times, and the units on my boat are no longer available. So I’m looking to buy/install the latest model- except no latest models are listed for my boat. At the moment, it appears I have 2 options: run the boat until the superchargers explode (not a good option), or, use the boat as an expensive lawn ornament (also not a good option).

Have others run into this? Anyone know what the current replacement pn’s are? The dealership could not find it (yet). There has to be something that will work. The rebuild kits aren’t even available.

In case someone can help;

I've seen many reports of folks installing the "maintenance free" versions. To my knowledge, it's entirely possible to update to that if that's what you want. Keep in mind that the maintenance free ones still need to be inspected every few years, slip checked, etc. From what I know, they are better balanced, etc. But like anything they can most definitely wear out. At that point you either need to replace the entire unit (which is what Sea-Doo/BRP does), or get an aftermarket company to rebuild them (which CAN be done).

The alternative is to get yours rebuilt of course. Definitely cheaper but I can't quote numbers.

Exactly. I’m looking for a maintenance free version. Problem is, dealership can’t find the right PN for the 2014. Seems like there isn’t one. And the rebuild kits are no longer being made. So I’m stuck at the moment. If I removed the superchargers and sent them to someone to have them rebuilt, that shop would need the rebuild kits - which are no longer made. A bit of a pickle.

I imagine because the older models don't come with the new supercharger. But I'm pretty sure if you get the recent supercharger, it fits on the 2014 just the same.

Just send your supercharger to a company like Greenhulk. I can almost guarantee they will have the OEM parts to do it. They do a ton. Contact them first. They use OEM parts.
