hello i have a 94 regal rush with a 90hp sport jet 3 cylinder 2 stroke it just pops and backfires what is the wire colors for the coils 1 green/red-- 2 green /w--- 3 green---??? i do not have a switch box i have a cdi box i just replaced it because i had no spark at all.. i also replaced the trigger all new with # matching parts ...it was a project boat i got cheap and the motor was all apart.. and in the boat like on the floor lol. i put new pistons in it .. #3 was melted bad on top. with broken rings im now at a losssssss.. help

I would make sure the timing is correct.

Is it a piston port, rotary valve or Reed valve induction? If it’s a Reed valve sounds like a broken reed. If a rotary valve sounds like the rotary valve timing is off.
