Trying pull the plug on a new to me boat. The plug will rotate about 1/4". I cannot get enough downward pressure a twist at the same time to fully rotate it to the unlock position. Any idea?

you could try filling the cleanout tube with ice and let it sit a while.....the cold might shrink the plug just enough to get it out.

Tapped it with a piece of wood and a hammer all the way around several times. It was pretty deformed and I know the previous owner hadn't had it out in the 20 months he owned the boat; so no telling how long it had sat.

Rebuild kit on the way!
